Were there very many Cabbage Patch knockoffs? I seem to recall two:
the Flower Kids, and Doll Baby, which--IIRC--was actually a kit for
making a Cabbage Patch-like doll. It came with a plastic head that
looked like those of the CPKs. The Flower Kids had faces like the CPKs
as well. Were there any other imitations as well as these?

Well absolutely there are. The one I remember the most the gross-out
knock-off called the Garbage Pail Kids from Topps. You get them in a
wax pack for about 50 cents back then. I never liked them persay.
Whenever I looked at the picture, I would start gaging and then head
for the porcelin throne and... there went my meal. It was a big fad
back then. But there are many others.

I forgot about the Garbage Pail Kids, as I was mainly thinking of dolls
thatw ere sold as inexpensive knockoffs, as the Doll Baby kits and the
Flower Kids were. GPK were a sticker spinoff series of Wacky
Packages, which have recently made a comeback.

My cousin had a baby that looked a little like a cabbage patch doll.
That baby soon grew out of that look and became a pretty young woman.

Garbage Pail kids. The movie is on dvd. I tried to watch it but after a few
minutes, found it unwatchable. It was terrible.
